This week in showbiz: after her painfully embarrassing attempt at performing at last year’s MTV Video Music Award show (not causing significant bathos btw) her precautios manager organized her comeback performances in Germany and France, so if she sucks, the Europeans will have to suffer. First she went to the Bambi awards, which has nothing to do with deer or any other game. It is a television and media award show. Her manager must have thought if the Germans love the music of David Hasselhoff so much, she can do no wrong. Her part was kinda alright, although Madonna’s lawyers probably phoned her next morning with the news that wearing a black unishort with a tophat is Madge’s trademark (or at least she tries to make it look like that). So for the Paris show she pulled a little red dress over it.
I know I am kinda negative so I decided to say something nice. This is the best piece of lipsyncing she’s done in years! And she looked like she knew where she was for most of the time, managed to do the dancemoves and and never once did she look like she’s about to dash off the stage in tears as soon as she figures out how to use her legs again. Yep, that’s me being nice in the witching hour.
Watch Britney Spears, until better word comes to mind, perform to her latest bs called Womanizer.

Aw, I still love the old Britney, but I think she did pretty well in this. Midn you, they could have made it look a little less like lipsyncing by turning her microphone ON after the performance when it was clear she was actually speaking and nothing came out.

I noticed that too. Why give her an extra mike if she has one on her head? FFS don’t insult us by thinking we’re SUCH idiots!
I think she did OK for an average new teen starlet, but from Britney we’re used to getting top performances.

That’s true. I used to love watching her concerts, she was really good.

The last time I actually saw Britney do anything was when she kissed Madonna and even that was a re-run!!
